25th PRJS Town Hall

Abolition and Reform in the Criminal Justice System were the themes of two PRJS Town Hall conversations in November 2022. Speaking on abolition, Dr. Jamil Bey moderated a conversation with Nadia Narnor, Chauntey Monique, Kyna James and India Hunter. In the second discussion, Richard Garner, Zinna Scott, Bethany Hallam, and Brittany Hailer spoke on the state of the criminal justice system in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County with moderator Tracey D. Turner.

24th PRJS Town Hall

The 24th PRJS Town Hall featured two panel discussions centered on the intersection of racial justice with environmental and disability and mental health justice work. The discussion on disability and mental health justice features panelists Dr. Claire Cohen, Anne Casper, and Dustin Gibson moderated by Paul O’Hanlon. On environmental justice, Ariam Ford-Graver moderators a conversation with Dr. Joylette Portlock, NaTisha Washington, and Tiffany Taulton.

23rd PRJS Opening & Closing Panel Discussions

View the closing panel discussions from the 23rd Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit in January 2021. In the first panel, Dr. Jasmine Syedullah, Reverend angel Kyodo williams, and aqeela sherrills discuss how to build sustained, community-centered racial justice movements. The second panel features young activists Chrissy Carter, Priscilla Ortiz, and Anthony Hurtado in conversation with moderator Jalina McClarin about their causes and efforts along with their experience with bridging generational gaps in racial justice work.
